and a big thank you to a Mothers Heart, and to dr Fett, for the work you do and information you provide - you gave me, after 6 years of trauma and thinking I could no more, the courage to even consider becoming pregnant again, when I still had to work with the working diagnosis of ppcm.

I pushed for an echo when the cardiologist did not want to see me (saying she would not be able to help me until I was pregnant, not interested in risk stratification or for me to have the stress echo) and eventually got an echo thanks to my GP, bless him, which proved I finally had a really good ef, as I knew was important from this site. The last one before that had been a year and a half previous, showing an ef of 52%.

With now an ef of 62% we decided to go for it, became pregnant, then later found out the rest as above; talking to another cardio in Amsterdam and a anesthesist here in UK that injecting adrenaline in a labouring woman is not a good idea, and could very well have caused my heart failure. Even some medical literature reports on this kind of mistake.

I had post traumatic stress syndrom and did not dare to expand my family for a full 9 years!

We are now very happy with our baby boy.
