I just recently had a endometreal abation performed. 6 days ago. I was put under anesthesia for a brief time. I am still feeling very tired and shakey and have even had a panic attack, something I have not had since right before I was diagnosed with ppcm in 2001. I also got a terrible case of hives.
I had some cramping pain in my chest yesterday. It is gone now. Does it take a while to shake off the anesthesia for ppcm patients? Should I be worried?
I have been off all ppcm meds since 2002. I was cleared by my cardiologist for this procedure. I made an appt. with my cardiologist 9/20. Because I had pain in my chest for about 3 hours straight my husband took me to the E.R. after I spent 4 hours in the E.R.(last night) they ran EKGs and took an x-ray of my chest and ran bloodwork and they said they could'nt find anything. Just wanted your opinion.

Except for a later pregnancy, I consider a recovered PPCM patient to be at no greater risk than any other person of same age. Chest pain is always something meriting special investigation, and you have done that. Your doctors can best determine the cause. I'm glad you are doing so well with previous PPCM.
