Well girls, I am getting ready to drive to Columbus, Ohio, for my 3 year ECHO. I am really nervous. Last year, my EF was 45-50%. I started out at 10-15% in 2002, when my son was 4 months old.
I have been feeling great, but I have put on almost 60lbs within the last year and a half. I know it will probably affect my numbers. And I know my cardio is gonna rip me for it. It just seems that ever since my family dr put me on Zoloft for anxiety attacks, I feel fearless & I am not worried about my weight.. does that make any since? Its like the panic attacks helped me be afraid, so I lost the weight.... now since the panic is not there, I don't care about doing anything.
Wish me luck.. I will be leaving in about an hour... My appt is at 2pm. I will post the results when I return.

OMG i was on Zoloft in college. I bounced a whole bunch of checks and ran my credit card sky high...I didn't care about a thing. I got off of it quick...I know exactly the feeling you are talking about....Please talk w your doctor about this. Zoloft is one of those meds that can make you careless and not always in a good way.

You know what? You have a point I've never thought about before. I was just "bragging up" my depression/anxiety meds on another thread, but just realized that I've been fearless about money/buying lately. I think these med companies have some kind of pact going on with some other certain businesses ;) .

Well, unfortunately my numbers have not changed. I am steadily holding on at 45-50%. No improvement, yet no deterioration. I know I should be happy, but I was disappointed.
I got the usual lecture about my weight. He wants to see some weight loss by my 6 month checkup. I started curves again & I am *trying* to watch what I eat. I have not been very successful yet.
I had to wear a holter monitor Wed - Fri of last week, because of my palpatations. I was able to capture several bouts of palpations and the weird chest pains I get (which I have passed off as gas & I hope I was right) I am not sure how long it takes to get the results.
I have also stopped taking the Zoloft & they switched me to Wellbutrin. Hopefully it helps with weight loss.. my Family doctor seems to think it will. I have had dizziness, shakiness & nausea (resembling morning sickness), as side effects. They have calmed down this week... hopefully not to return.
That's about it.
I go back for a checkup in September.

I think it was a great appt. No change is better then things getting worse. You are holding at 45% - 50% and I think that is awesome. I was at 35% to 40% for almost 2 1/2 years and then my EF started increasing. Yours will too, stay positive and it will happen.
