Ok, so I'm a big baby.
Some nasty stomach virus has hit every member of our family, starting Friday night. Yesterday, when I was the only one who hadn't caught it, I urged my husband to make his business trip up to DC. He did, and wouldn't you know it, at 12:30 last night, it got me.
With each wave of nausea, my heart rate would soar to about 145 (I'm usually down in the mid 40's to low 50's) Called a neighbor at 2am to come sit with the kids (That's how you know you've got great neighbors!) while I took a fun little ambulance ride.
They said I was dehydrated and that's why the HR was up. I'm not sure I fully undertand that, but 1 IV bag, 2 cans of gingerale and a pat on the head later and I felt well enough to leave.
I'm weak and tired today, and my hips feel like they're spreading in the last trimester of pregnancy. I'm a wreck. All I want to do is lay on the couch with a soft blankey and whine.
