Cold sore/fever blister

I know this probably has nothing to do with PPCM but yesterday morning I woke up with a few pimple like things on my left upper lip. Now, today, it's a huge cluster of blistery things. I don't thing it's a cold sore, but more like clear blisters. It's very itchy and I'm trying really hard not to rub or scratch it. Is it bad to break them? What exactly causes them (I've heard it could be stress or a virus)? What's good to put on it...any home remedies that would be good? Right now all I have is carmex and that doesn't seem to be doing much.

Sounds viral to me. I wouldn't pop the blisters. Unfortunately I wouldn't kiss on hubby or kidlets either. Have you been eating poison ivy? hahahaha! Just a joke :) If you think of it maybe go down to your pharmacy and have the pharmacist look at it maybe he/she can tell you. If it doesn't go away by Friday or start looking better I would go to the doc. I wish I could be more help.

Hmmm...if you've not been eating poison ivy, could it be that you were kissing frogs?
While you're at the pharmacy, pick up some Abreva. I use it on my daughter when she has cold sores. It seems to help them heal faster, and she said they don't bother her as much when she uses it.
