Mom in Washington PPCM

My friend just called me and said a co-workers cousin is in ICU. She has a 4 month old and was breastfeeding and had a seizure. She was rushed to the hospital and is in ICU on life support. They said her heart is very enlarged etc. Has anyone else heard this story? She said there's some website out there ab it, but I'm not as saavy as some of you! So, search away!

Are you referring to WA State? We have recently had a new PPCM patient in WA State. Two months postpartum. Presented this month with "sudden cardiac death." Happily, it's a success story, as she is improving from LV EF 15 to 43 %, is on ACE-I and BB, doing very well, thank you. I have encouraged them to register with AMH.org.

I'm not sure if it's state or DC. I just got a little of the info....hope to hear more soon. I know this girl is in ICU has a 4 month old and a 5 year old. They said she's on life support currently. So this must be a different story. Glad to hear the other girl is improving! I hope she'll join our fabulous group :)
