Of course, like all of us here, I wish you weren't thanking me. However, if I can help prevent it from happening to some young woman in the future, that would be amazing.

You deserve a big THANK YOU also Dr. Fett. I believe I trust you more than my own doctors. You are so quick to respond to our questions, and calm our fears. I remember sitting up for my late night feedings, before my initial post, and praying your information was correct, as opposed to everything else I had read. I felt it had to be better than 1/3, 1/3, 1/3. There also had to be hope for me to have more babies, and you have given me that. (I do understand that it is ultimately our decision and there is no guarantee, etc)

I plan on making a donation to the hospital in Haiti, hoping it goes for PPCM research, etc in lieu of christening favors.

If I can ever be of anymore help, please feel free to contact me.

I try to provide as accurate information as possible. As time moves along, I see that the accuracy is there for:
-incidence and prevalence
-survival and recovery
-risks for subsequent pregnancy
-best methods for monitoring subsequent pregnancy
-best combination treatment with best results
-the role of anticoagulation to prevent thromboembolic phenomena
-the risks of ventricular tachyarrhythmias and the need for ICD
-early diagnosis efforts for recognition of heart failure
-data on potential role of virus and methods of assessing
-the role of blood tests BNP and CRP, maybe cardiac Troponin
-the role of additional investigations (MRI and EMB) for non-responders
-potential non-conventional treatments for non-responders

Not that I am seeking contributions for the PPCM work in Haiti, but if you want to be sure any designation goes to the PPCM work at Hospital Albert Schweitzer, be sure to state, "Pierre Paulette PPCM Fund." And thanks.
