Heavy period and anemia?

My normal, stable, INR was at the last check a bit lower. So I had to take more Warfarin that day and my normal schedule is a bit changed. The same day, after an absence of months, my period started. It was much heavier than normal and now on the 4th day I'm still losing a lot of blood. Since two days I feel weaker than normal, I am dizzy, have latent headaches and look quite pale. Can this period have caused anemia? If yes, what should I do? My period isn't over yet.

Most definitely check with your doctor to answer the questions: What is your hemoglobin now? What is your INR now? What should you do?

I have the same problem...massively heavy bleeding with more clots at the same time. Most of it is so much thinner, too. I can't keep it under control the first 3-4 days. I am going to see my doc about it. I am on coumadin 9 mg. That is a lot for someone my size they say but anything lower kept my under therapeutic level. Anyway, I have the same issues.

I had the same problems while on warfarin. As soon as my ef went above 30% and I was considered stable and had gone for 6 months without v-fib, we stopped the warfarin. Immediately my hemoglobin levels went up! It was wonderful!
