Chest pain or muscle ache

How do you tell the difference..

my upper back left shoulder and what feels like my chest hurt all day long. I am thinking it is from carrying around my 30lb toddler but how do I know for sure..

any docs or nurses opinions..

My 2 cents is this happened to me last week when I mowed the front yard. Lesson there is don't mow the yard! I like that lesson especially here in Texas. Anyway, do you have pain anywhere else? If not I would imagine you may have "tweaked a muscle". Theragesic is great for muscle pulls or strains and I love the wintergreen smell......ahhhh! If you have pain down your arm and into your pinky or ring finger or in your jaw then I would call 911. If you have pain in your chest upon inhaling or exhaling and you have a respiratory issues going on I would go and see my GP. I hope that this helps. Praying for you to feel better soon!
