Recovery Stats

Dr. Fett, I understand that 50-60% of PPCM patients fully recover with EFs over 50%, is that right? Is that world-wide incidence? Is the stat the same in the US alone, or are there no reports demonstrating US recovery rate?

Also, I'm having trouble finding the med journal that states recovery stats -- off the top of your head could you point me to the citation?

Recovery rates reported for PPCM from the USA are the best in the world. Other reports, such as Soweto and Haiti, report around 30 % (improving in Haiti) full recovery. The references are found in the thread in this forum, "For you and your physician."
