Dr.Fett,
Today I went to be checked out & make sure I'm ok to get the IUD. As the nurse-practitioner was listening to my heart I asked if she heard a gallop. She said she heard an extra little noise. 3 months ago my cardio said he heard no gallops. Is that a bad sign? Could it have been a PVC or decreased function?? I'm sort of nervous. Echo coming up on the 14th.. Can't wait.. I can't believe time has flew. My 20th birthday is next month, and at dx I didn't think I'd see Christmas, let alone my birthday. I guess things get better! Still very concerned about what the nurse said about my extra little sound. What do you think??

P.S.
thanks for your advice last week. I ended up getting the tattoo done. It turned out beautiful. It says Mahaila with a flower on my shoulder. Love it.:)

That's not a cause for worry. There are a number of normal extra sounds (one called S4), and that does not mean the heart failure gallop (called S3). Because you have excellent heart function we know you don''t have a failure S3 gallop. What you have is just another normal heart sound.

ok thank you for the reassurance. I see my doctor in a few weeks so I feel confident that I'm ok until then. Sometimes I have to slow down and make myself chill out. take care
