Is there a reason for this? Not that I ever had a fun time of it, but I notice since PPCM I feel actually ill. I get sweats, headache, body aches, fatigue, dizziness, increased palpitations, heartburn/upset stomach and I generally feel like I've been hit by a bus. These symptoms last for 2-3 days, then I'm fine. Am I hormone-sensitive now? lol :p
Anyone else feel like this?

Probably unrelated to PPCM. Hope you find the answer and soon overcome that. Best to you.

dang sorry to hear that! my periods used to be so bad before I got pregnant that I had to sit in scalding hot bath water to deal with the pain.. but it seems that they have gotten better after having baby.. But it's only been 3 months.. so who knows? I agree with Dr.Fett though, probably not PPCM related if ya ask me.. Periods just aren't fun, period. I hope it gets better tho!

Thanks Dr. Fett, I hope so too!
Megan, now that is one thing I'm thankful for, the pain isn't nearly what it used to be. Having kids seems to have "cured" me so far as well, I hope it lasts! For you too!
Have you looked at endometriosis? I used to get those symptoms (except the palp's) with endometriosis even when the pain was being managed. Pain doesn't accompany all cases of endometriosis either; it seems to depend somewhat upon the location of the endometriosis. My doctor explained that the symptoms were my body's response to the endometriosis during menstruation.

I was diagnosed with endo when I was having trouble getting pregnant. My issues at the time were just pain and infertility. They said I had it bad enough that I might not conceive at all, but I did! After I conceived, I never followed up - since I had children and the pain went away (became tolerable, I should say), I thought my problems were solved. They never told me it could come with all these lovely symptoms, yuck!

rezzlemom question for you about this thread. Are you on birth control if so what kind. I have a friend who is having the same symptoms as you and she wanted me to ask you what BC you were on if any.
Thanks:)

My palps are always worse during that wonderful time of the month. I think the hormonal connection is very real. I know after I was diagnosed and then recovered, I would feel like my EF was 25% again a few days a month. It is better now. I also have to say that the abdominal pain was *intense* and the GI problems grew worse over the years. I recently had a diagnostic lap surgery and my gyn told me I had one of the worst cases of endometriosis and adhesions she had ever seen.
I was diagnosed with endometriosis (did lap surgery too) and used to have excruciating pain every month when I wasn't on BC. When I was on BC, I had severe cramps as well. Also had sweats, headache, body aches, fatigue, dizziness.
For several months I've been working with a nutritionist, Linda Wagner: http://www.endometriosissupport.com/
Her own personal story is pretty incredible, you can read it on her website.
I am very, very happy with the results so far. I've been off the pill for months and have no cramps, pain or other symptoms at all with my period. Miracle. I highly recommend her.

Juliana: I've never been on birth control of any kind. The specialist I saw originally suggested a pill like Seasonale, where you only get about four period per year.
Susan: One more fun thing we have in common, though mine is not as severe. Anything specific that helped your symptoms improve?
Erin: That sounds almost too good to be true, I'll definitely that out.
