I am new to this, just joined today! I was diagnosed with acute CHF from my delivery. Actually, it was Cardiomyopathy then acute CHF. I have read some posts and don't see much on the CHF. Is there much of a difference? I started with a EF of 20% and now am maintaining 50%. My cardiologist stated another pregnancy would be fatal. I was just wondering does everyone with PPCM also have CHF? Or is my case different. I can't find any information on the web...Thanks

Welcome! And glad you are doing so well. If you look at the forum on this web-site titled "Just what is PPCM?" you will see that the definition of PPCM indicates that CHF (congestive heart failure) or HF (heart failure) is a requirement to qualify for a diagnosis of PPCM. That forum will take you through the major points about PPCM.
Next look at the forum, "Post-PPCM babies" and note the algorithm at the top, defining the risk of relapse of PPCM in a subsequent pregnancy. You will see that the best outlook is for those who:
1)Have recovered heart function to left ventricular EF over 50 %,
2)Maintaining normal function, even after weaning off heart failure meds, and
3)Those who have a normal left ventricle contractile reserve as determined by a stress echocardiogram, either exercise stress or dobutamine stress echo.
So welcome to this web-site, you will find a lot of support and information here.
