Got my Echo today!!!

Great news today! My echo came back with results that surprised both my doctor and I! My EF went from 38% to 50%. In addition, where my left ventricle was severely enlarged (was at 6.9cm when the normal is 3.0cm to 5.6cm), it's now only mildly enlarged at 5.8cm!

I still have moderate regurgitation at my aortic valve because it's bicuspid so they're watching that for now. I go back to my cardiogist in August and get another echo in December!

I finally feel some security. I think I am going to recover after all. I've been so nervous with my pesky edema. I hate the edema because some days where I will feel fine, it will remind me that I'm sick. =( I feel great today, like I KNOW I will get to see my little girl grow up.

YAY!!!! Good for you....I'm soooooo happy to for you! I know we all say it's just a number....but, it sure feels good when you see improvement. I know you'll continue to improve and that number will be in the 60's on your next echo.

CONGRATS Jen! Isn't it just the best to hear that kind of news? I know I was jumping for joy when I started seeing my numbers climb. I still have days where I have to remind myself where I've been and how lucky I am to be where I'm at today. You deserve to pop open nice big can of soda (or water) and celebrate :D .
