On the subject of Penicillin

Is it true that if you are allergic to Penicillin you can have a positive reading from a tb test? I think this happened to one of my close friends recently and she's been freaking out for almost a year over this, and has had all the x-rays and everything that have to be done after a positive reading. I wonder why they don't ask you this when you go in for the tb test.

I have done alot of TB testing and research on TB testing, but I have never heard that before. Has anyone else ever heard of this?

You could try going to www.cdc.gov, they may have some information on this. I could not find anything about this sort of reaction in any of my nursing books, but the med surg book did recommend the cdc for more information on tb
