What causes your INR levels to go down drastically in a short time> Mine were running right at 3.1 and at my 3 week checkup they were down to 1.4 and now a week later a 1.3. I haven't had any more vitamin K foods that usual. They have adjusted my warfarin again to 7 miligrams everyother day and 5 the other days. Thanks

The most common reason for that is some different medication that counteracts against the warfarin. Have you changed your medication dosages, recently; or come off an antibiotic? Diet and medication changes are the most common things to impact INR levels. Intestinal absorption of medication can also cause a change. And changed liver function.

Eating Salad or anything "green" veggie will always makes mine go down..
In summer we always adjust it accordingly:)
