Hello. I have a question about blood pressure. With PPCM what blood pressure range should be a concern? I am currently on lisinopril 10 mg twice daily. While I was not working, my bp was generally 90/50. Since returning to work last week, it has gone up to normal range 110/70's. Today was the first day of class (I teach) and it has gone up to 118/101. Should I be concerned about it. This was the 3rd reading within a 2 hour period and all were in the same range.. It has since gone down to 107/81. Which number is more important...the top or bottom? Thank you!

your upper level (systolic) is not worrisome, neither when 90 nor 118. The lower level (diastolic), if resting level, would be concerning if above 90. But repeated observations, and after appropriate rest are important. Of course activity is expected to make the B.P. go up. Keep an eye on it and be in touch with your doctor. In general some concern if levels are above 135 to140 systolic and above 95 diastolic.

Welcome back to school! As a fellow teacher, I can relate. I had a full blown panic attack my first week back to work after baby and PPCM. Ended up in the ER with crazy high BP and got to spend the night. Didn't realize it at the time, but I know now that was the issue. :)
Take it one day at a time. Listen to your body...it took time, but I did adjust. Get as much sleep as you can! That makes all the difference in my world.
Hope you have a great year. We're back on September 5th in WA.
