Dr. Fett:
I have been experiencing what I can best describe as chest heaviness/tightness/pressure on my left side only. It has been pretty constant for at least a couple months. It seems worse today which is also making me a little SOB.
I had a cough for about two months and I pretty much associated the chest discomfort with the cough but that cleared up and the chest discomfort didn't. (I now think that cough was actually from the lisinopril.)
My last echo showed 51% and I am on 5 mg of lisinopril and I recently got a script for a low dose of lopressor but have not yet picked it up from the pharmacy. Also, if it makes a difference, I am 5 months out of having my first post-ppcm baby.
I guess I am wondering if it is possible that everything is ok even though my echo is "normal" and I also recently had a bnp done and that was normal too. Or is there some other testing or meds that should be done or taken? I go back to the cardiolost in mid-September. Not sure if I should wait or try to get in sooner.
