I have what I think is a sinus infection. I only thought that I'd had them before but this has been a doozy!!!! I just finished a round of antibiotics and my left temple, eye, and gums are killing me. I've suffered for about a week now. If I stoop over, strain in any sort of way....I'm almost in tears for a second or two. I almost feel like I've pulled a muscle in my head! I've tried sitting in a hot bath with a wash cloth on my face, actually inhaling a little warm water to cleanse my sinuses, and of course, saline wash.
Any ideas or should I head BACK to the doctor????

Wow Carla.........that is bad indeed! I would do warm compresses and use Vick's Vapo Rub. I wanted to tell you that we are looking at buying a house in Taylor. I think you should see the doctor again! I was so excited about telling you were looking at houses in Taylor I forgot to finish answering your question. Go to the doc again! Feel better soon!

You should call your Dr....you should not be in that much pain after finishing a round of antibiotics. Hope you feel better soon !

Carla- I had one once that was so bad, I couldn't believe it. One massage did it for me. My massage therapist worked on my face, jaw, head, and cheeks and I could feel (not to be gross) it draining and I had to keep sitting up to clear my throat. It was SUCH relief! I highly recommend it but be sure you find a very good massage therapist. Typically one who focuses on healing arts - not just a massage therapist in a salon- try one who does Reiki, reflexology, etc. They are usually the BEST and very good at thlat sort of thing. Good luck! Julie

You know.....I should have thought about that. We have a chiropractor here in town and his wife is a Massage Therapist. They are both absolutely wonderful. My chiro actually cured a yeast infection for me one time. Hard to believe, huh??? I went in for a routing adjustment and mentioned that I'd been to my other doctor in the same afternoon. He asked why and I told him that I'd had a re-occuring yeast infestion. He said "I can help you with that"! Much to my amazement......he noticed my hips were out of line. When your hips are out of line, your colon can't function properly. The colon produces yeast.....and there ya go. He adjusted me, gave me some yeast-free herb tablets and that was it!!!! He's amazing. He even found my gall-bladder problem. Why didn't I think of him sooner!!!!! ;)

Flonase is safe for us and it covers all allergies which is what usually causes a sinus infection.
