Ages and EF

I was just wondering if everyone could post their age, diagnosis date and current EF again for everyone. Thanks!

I am 26, and 364 days old, LOL. I was diagnosed 3 1/2 years ago (December, 2001) and my current EF is somewhere between 53% and 65%.

I will be 39 on June 10th (ugh)! My ef was 15% on 5/27/02. It's now 60% as of 4/22/05.

So, three years later I am considered recovered! My cardio said that I am now a woman with a "history" of PPCM!

I am 33 years old now, 32 when I was diagnosed (August 2004, 3 months after the birth of my son).

EF at DX: 15%
EF 6 months later: almost 40%

I am 37 yrs old and my EF at diagnosis in '03 was first reported at 35% but was re-read at 40-51% depending upon the testing method. My last echo was 45% and my last MUGA was 48%. I have never fluctuated. That's why I'm off meds since my slew of docs believe this is my "normal" and the meds made no difference . SO, I'm 13 wks pregnant and my first echo since pregnancy is next Tuesday- I'm very nervous. My 5 month echo with my son in '02 was reported at 55% but again, after all my docs re-read it, they agreed it was more in line with my 45%-50%. I was cleared for pregnancy at a "moderate risk" and so far, so good but I'm still very nervous about this test. Sorry such a long response!! Julie

I am 31, was 30 when Dx last June 14. At DX I was at 10% EF, the stayed at 15% till I recieved a bi-v-pacer, defib. on march 2, On march 9 I had to have the wires redone because one of them drove though the wall of my heart and my EF went down again to 12%. But now my EF is about 25%. I go in today and they are checking to see if there is a improvment!

I am 27, was diagnosed Dec. 27, 2003 at age 25 with an ef of 45%. I am currently at an ef of 64%! YEAH!

Dx Jan 2004, Age 34, EF 45%.
Complete recovery within 8 months, went off all meds. EF 55%
6 months later I regressed, EF 45%.
I had a "false healing", my echo results were due to the meds.

My first delivery was at 22 and I was symptomatic, but not diagnossed. My second delivery was at 24 again symptomatic, but not diagnosed. At age 26 and at 12 weeks gestation with baby number 3 I was diagnosed with an ef of 43%. At age 27 and 6 days post partum my ef was 7%. Now 5 years later, I am 32 and have an ef of 43%.

Feeling too good to be in the same place but don't go to the doc again til the end of June. Feeling really good and happy about it.

I had just turned 34 about a month before (actually I think exactly a month before) I was diagnosed. I am now 36 and proud of it!

EF at dx was I think 30-35%
My last echo was 18 months ago and was 50-55%

I was declared "normal" and told maybe I'd have another echo in 5 years...I am still on lisinopril and toprol xl, low doses and I feel just fine.

I was 27 at time of diagnosis (October 2004) with idiopathic cardiomyopathy. It is unclear as to what caused it. My son was 9 months old at the time of my diagnosis so it technically doesn't meet the criteria for PPCM. EF at diagnosis was 30-35% and now (8 months after dx) is 40%
