Has anyone ever had a situation like mine where they could not read the echo results due to too much irregular beating going on. I guess at the time (in November) I had bijemminy going on and they had a very hard time reading the results. I even had two different people read it. The first one who read it said the results were 30-35% but the computer printed out a reading of 50%. My EF was up in the 60's last May. I'm suppose to go in again this May and have another echo done, but am sort of left hanging in the meantime.

I never had a hard time reading my EF, but at 18 months , it dropped to 35-40%.(I think it was actully 38%..I always said it was 40) It stayed there until 3.0 yrs, then went to 42%.... and is now at 4 yrs it's around 45-50% But The last reading was done by a different Tech, and a diferent Doc because mine was out on medical leave. My nurse said she cold have my reg Doc read it now that shes back, I just might do that. But it did go up a little so I guess thats good. Try not to worry about it too much. Are you having any symptoms?

No, I've yet to see an echo report like that across my desk. I can see why it's possible though and would think it would lead to an eyebrow raise about the bigeminy. Did they raise your meds or other ? Are you still having rhythm problems ?

I was having palpatations so that's why I had the echo done in November. But I was also having those stomach problems also (w/the ruptured cysts) and had a cat scan that day too. Last week I went in because I had an upper respiratory/sinus infection and ear problems and I was still having the bijeminy. But I'm proud to say, I toughed this one out without any antibiotics. It took over a week to conquer it, but I did it! :)
