Dr. Fett...a question about coreg

One month ago I switched to Coreg 25 mg, BID. I was on Toprol XL 200. (I had been on Toprol for 6.5 yrs)Since starting the Coreg I have had a stiff neck.. almost constanly. Could this be a side effect of the coreg??

I don't think so, but one always has to entertain that possibility with a change to new medication. Because it is unusual for coreg to give such a side-effect, one should explore all other possibilities, including looking at muscle enzyme tests, such as transaminase, LDH, CPK, and of course ESR, CRP.
