Dr Fett, can you please explain to me what that means. And what happens if your meds are not working? I have also had an ablation about eight months ago, but everything has returned, but now they think it might be IST.Im going to have another EP study done in a few weeks. Thanks

Sinus tachycardia represents increased heart rate in the range of 100 to 150 per minute in which there is a normal heart response to stimuli, such as exercise, surprise, fright, fear (adrenaline surges). Inappropriate sinus tachycardia would be similar heart rates with no known stimulus, so unexplained. Best to you as you work this through with your cardiologist.

P.S. Of course in that case the electrocardiogram shows the normal EKG pattern of the heart beat with initiation in the sinus node of the electrical system.

Im just tired of feeling this way..... On the holter moniter they clocked me at 160 at 6am in bed on which it forces me out of bed.So you can imagine what little excersise does LOL. I feel as though I have been runnning a marathon by the end of the day.
