Okay here goes lol, About 3 months ago i was on vasotec 10 mg 2x a day but my bp was going up to like 130/110, so my cardioligist upped the dose to 20 mg's 2x a day,, it went down for like a month & stayed about perfect- 120/79ish, this last month I've been having to break them in half because my b/p was staying like 100/60, now after breaking them in half for like 2 weeks, my b/p is staying way to low (in my eyes).. its like 95/45-50... I've tryed calling my doctor but i always get the cardioligist whos on call @ the time, & i don't feel like he knows my history good enough to take advice from him, I go to the doc again dec 7, so its just next week, should i get a hold of my doctor & have him lower the dose now or wait, because all my family is saying my b/p is way to low.. Thanks!

If it were me, I would start by calling my cardiologists nurse. S/he will more than likely ask a couple of pertinent triage questions and relay the info to your cardio OR schedule an appointment.
In general, it seems most Dr's don't get overly concerned about blood pressure being too low unless you are symptomatic....getting dizzy when you stand, excessive fatigue, shortness of breath, etc. BUT, your cardio may have specific parameters in mind for you (especially if you have a history of hypertension), so you need to hear it from him.
Call, speak to the nurse and make an appointment.

Then call tomorrow, be VERY specific about your symptoms and just request an appointment.

Hi,
My blood pressure is also very low, always has been regardless of the PPCM. At my latest drs appt it was 90/50, and the highest it has ever been is 100/70. I was getting very dizzy when I was first diagnosed, which is why I'm only on a small dose of Coreg. I also found that having my Ramipril (is that a beta blocker or ace inhibitor??) at night instead of in the morning helped. I don't get dizzy very often now.
Good luck, definitely call your dr, I'm sure they don't want you blacking out!
