For the last week I have noticed that when I forget my Coreg( which is the only med I am on now) I feel better. I forgot it this morning and realized it at 11:00 so I took it then. I got so tired and so sleepy that by 1:00 I was out. I woke up at 5:00 and felt like crap so I took my BP and HR. It was 80/60 and 127. But when I forget my Coreg it is only 120/70 and hr around 100. I have noticed that I feel so bad everytime I take it. Any suggestions?

Sounds like it may be worth a call to the doctor. Maybe you don't need it?? I know that when I go without my meds I feel my heart racing and feel like I'm having palpatations. Although I do think it contributes to my fatigue. A double edged sword.

Hey...definitely time to call the doc and get some advice. Interesting to note this change. I don't get tired anymore really as long as I get sleep at night. But if I don't...look out! Plz tell us what the doc says because this is useful information. Alison

Can't say anything about if you really need your Coreg, will be a good question for your doctor. The only thing I can tell you that in my case it is really important to take my meds (especially Coreg) on a very regular base and with food. I had much problems to adjust to my actual dosage of Coreg, but now (after two months) and by taking it with food and every day on the same time, I feel fine. My BP is normal and my heartrate low. Two hours after taking Coreg my BP drops a bit, but than I move/ exercise a bit more and it will become normal again. Maybe this will help you.

Funny you should post this thread. I forgot my meds this morning (I think). It's bad when you can't remember if you forgot? But, the funny thing is that usually I would notice by the evening that I forgot because I would start getting palpatations, but that didn't happen tonight. Maybe I don't need mine anymore either??? I think it would be a good thing to bring up with your cardiologist next time you have an appointment.

I hated Coreg! It made me feel lousy all of the time! I had a very low tolerance for it. I switched to Toprol and only take 12.5 mg once daily, but it has helped so much in managing my low bp and the fatigue!

When I was on the 25 mg 2x daily of coreg I could hardly function. I felt like a walking zombie!! I kept telling my doc and he started lowering my dosage, since I was making good progress anyway. I only take 6.25 2x daily now, and I tolerate that much better. I hardly notice any symptoms from it. Its funny what was said about not remembering if you forgot the meds or not, there have been times I have had to count out the pills to determine if I took one that day or not! :D
