hsCRP from .6 - 3.2

Hi,

Just wanted to ask if its normal for the CRP to go up in pregnancy. The baseline I had at about 8 wks was .6 and at 29 wks it was 3.2.

Yes, absolutely, the hs-CRP will normally go up in pregnancy. One helpful guideline that we have is that a cut-off of 10 mg/L in the postpartum period, meaning a level over 10 mg/L just at term and in the few weeks after pregnancy may be concerning. Your level of 3.2 in the last trimester in pregnancy would not be unusual.
