It's official.. July 5 (36 weeks)
That's one day longer than with Rachel and Christopher and only 7 days away. I can do this!!
Went for preadmission testing this morning.. that was hilarious. The anesthesia (I'm assuming resident) comes in and asks me how my last c section went.. I told him I had an epidural and it worked fine but they were concerned about my BP dropping.. he said this time you'll have a spinal and 80% of all woman's BP drop from a spinal.. I told him they didn't want me to have a spinal last time because of my heart. He says (with my chart and the BIG LONG health history form I just filled out in his hand) "what's wrong with your heart?" HELLO!! He didn't ask too many questions.. he just wanted to know when my last echo was and said they would look at that and decide what to do.. I sincerely hope he was just gathering information to report to his superiors because he didn't ask me anything about all the scary things I checked on the form like chest pain, shortness of breath, etc.. Oh well. When the nurse came in she told me I was going to see the anesthesiologist and get blood drawn and I asked her if I needed an EKG.. she said they didn't order one.. I said they'll probably need one.. two minutes later a tech came in and said he was going to do an EKG.

Laura, I am so glad that things are set up for you. Try and take it easy this week (we know how hard that is for you), but soon you will have that little one here. By the way I like the names also. I will be thinking about you next week.

YAY!!! So exciting!!! I am so happy for you. You have made it so far, and AGAIN I tell you, you are seriously my inspiration. When I was so upset today, I just kept thinking-Think about Laura, how far she has come, if SHE can do it, so can you!!!
And please LMK if I can do anything-give you any meals, help out with the twins, anything at all, seriously! I'll email you my phone number again, just in case so you have it!

I am sooooooooooooo excited that the day has arrived for this new little one! I'm praying for a healthy and easy delivery and also for Rachel and Christopher to just love their baby bro(sis). It is amazing this road you have traveled and I truly wish good things for you and your family--You are an inspiration and have definitely beat the odds! That's the exact same day as me and we were only due 1 day apart. Spooky
I've been reading your posts thinking about you. I hope everthing goes to plan for you and exactly the way you want it (I know you don't want a section). I'll be in hospital for at least a week so I'll need to show my mum how to access this site  so she can let me know how you get on.
Thinking of you. Sending you the very best of luck.

Thanks and good luck to you too. They keep you in the hospital a week? Wow.. "normal" post c section patients stay for 3 day post delivery and I will be there 3-4 I'm told.. last time it was 5. The good thing is that my OB will be the one to decide if I go home because he's in the hospital next weekend.

I had my first child in London using the National Healthcare System. I think it might be standard over there stay in hospital 1wk after C. They also do some nice things like have a midwife visit you at home a few times after you leave the hospital, pay for all mom and baby meds up to a year, and weekly checkups at the pediatrician where you can ask questions.
And the best part, even though I had private insurance, they never asked for it and they never sent me abill:)
