well i went to the cardio today and he said that my ef is 50%!!!!!! i am so happy and relieved. he was very supportive and was willing to listen to all that i have learned and Dr. Fett's algorithm.

he took me off my enalipril, and is weaning me off of my coreg. he said after the first 3 months he wants me to be on coreg, and i need to go in once a month. i almost cried when he told me my ef! i was in shock. thats what we had been praying for, but i honestly thought in january that i had fully recovered and was very devastated when i found out i hadn't. but today has been wonderful.

That's great progress, and there is more progress to come! The cautious weaning of meds is important, and maintaining Coreg for at least a full year following diagnosis also good. If EF slips when a certain med is decreased or stopped, it is always good to return to the most effective dosage.

YES!!! Your post made me so happy it brought tears to my eyes. I can say a heartfelt congratulations to you now! You've been on my mind all day, and in my prayers. What wonderful news!!!!

I am also absolutely thrilled that your cardiologist is being supportive and is willing to listen to what you've learned. This is just awesome!
