I am home now. Mandy goes to Cardio tomorrow i will let everyone know. It will only be a month checkup. I hope he will take her off her digoxin. I have ben reading Dr Fetts coments on this med. Her heart rate has been in the 70-80 range on the med. Maybe he can lower it or maybe try to get her off and see if it will stay the same. The day i left she gained 2 pounds not sure why but she lost about a pound the next day. She is now staying with Sarah at night, she hasn't since she went to the hospital on the 6th of March. We went shopping while in Waco. She did really well and seemed to not get too tired. Wish is could be down there for Dr. app. but i will call and find out what was said. Thanks for asking about Mandy it means alot. Tammie

Tammie,
I was on Dig for 3.5 yrs and I was fine. Try not to let it worry you. How is her coumadin levels?? I had a stroke on the week I was diagnosed with PPCM, I am still on coumadin and lately my levels have been crazy. A lot of foods can make them dip, while other thngs can make them go high.
I am glad to hear she is doing well. You must be so relieved.
I am 4.5 yrs out...although still on all my meds doing very well!
e-mail if you need too.

I was also on Digoxin for a good year and a half or so. As far as I know, everything went fine with me on the Digoxin. Don't know which med helped me recover, but I'm sure it was probably a combination of all of them. Good luck, stay stron and give Mandy my support.

Thanks, her coumdain level last week was a 2 it had been 3.9. They monitor it weekly. She goes tomorrow for a checkup for it and also to cardio. It is just scarey to hear people say they don't like the digoxin. But if you have done fine it makes me feel better. She is wanting to get her tubes tied but can't as long as she is on the coumdain. I told her about the stories on here that she might want to wait and see if later on she might be able to have more children but she says what all she has gone through she is happy with little Sarah. Another question for anyone who might know. Mandy is havig trouble seeing. At first they said it was the med that they used to put her on the vent. Then after that should have worn off they said it might be the meds they are giving her now. She can see you but it is all blurry. Has anyone else had this happen and is something she will have to live with the rest of her life like they have said. HELP

I remember having blurred vision only if I got up really fast, it had to due with my blood pressure. I remember the Dr.'s telling me that when I had to get up in the middle of the night with the baby to sit up for about 1 minute before getting into a standing position. It did work and they adjusted some of my meds and it went away. Also, I am 5 years out from diagnosis and I am still on Digoxin, I am probably going to be taken off of it next time I go see my cardiologist. Please keep us posted on Mandy's condition

Tammie,
The blurred vision could be from the meds. My vision was affected by the stroke, so a portion of my vision is just gone. And the dizziness is probably from the meds, but ask the Doctor. I know she wants the surgery, I have had 5 surgeries while on coumadin. 3 for kidney stones, 2 were major abdominal surgeries. (an emergency Hyst, and later ovaries for possible cancer) I had to go off the coumadin and give myself shots of Levonax. I'm sure she will come off the coumadin once her heart gets to a certain point.
I'm glad her levels are good. I go about every 2 weeks. They like to keep my levels at 3.0- 3.6.
Good Luck at the Dr's.

Just wanted to let everyone know Mandy's Dr app. went realy well. The doc did any EKG and said he could not believe how good she was doing at this point. Everything looked good and he took her off her Paxil. Said he didn't like heart patients on it but she was so blue and depressed when we would leave the hospital and her anxiety attacks were bad. Just wanted to let you all know our good new. Now it will just keep getting better we hope. Thanks for all the prayers. Tammie
