I'm Cay,
I'm new to the board but not to to PPCM. I developed it in Dec 03 after carrying twins for a good friend of mine. My initial EF was 10-15%. I'm 29, married with two children.

I've been looking for support for a very long time but esp in the last 7 months. I am currently 30 weeks pregnant with a little girl. I had an echo a couple of weeks ago and my EF was 60-65% which is better than it has been the since I developed the condition.

I'm very happy to have found this board because there is so many questions and sometimes it's very hard to find those who understand what I'm going through.

Hi Cay....that's my Mom's name too. She spells is Kay. Congrats on your pregnancy and yes, you did a wonderful thing for a friend...what a selfless act of kindness. Your EF is fantastic and I hope it continues on that course...I'm sure it will. I'm pregnant with my second child (boy), he'll be here in about 4 weeks. So far, so good! No problems.

I'm here if you need to talk. Where are you in the pregnancy? How many weeks? Keep a positive attitude, I promise it's done wonders for me!

Take care and WELCOME!!!!

Love,
Kari

Welcome. It sounds like you are doing fairly well. I had a post PPCM baby almost 3 years after I was dx. I ended up completely fine, like I had never had PPCM with my first.
Welcome again to the site! :)

Cay, Welcome to the site! I was wondering about your surogate experience. We have had a couple of other surogate moms on the boards who developed PPCM during their surogacy. Here are a few questions:
1) Did you use your own eggs? if not, then
2) Did the eggs come from your friend or were they donor eggs? if they came from your friend, then
3) Did your friend have any history of PPCM herself or in her family?

Thanks, and I am so happy that this pregnancy is doing so well.

Hi Cay,

My post-ppcm baby boy ust turned 4 months old this week. Like you, my EF was better than ever while pregnant. My docs said this was normal given thevolume of blood being pumped. How wonderful it felt to be 'normal' in the last trimester!

best wishes for the coming weeks,

Colleen
