We may want to change the description of this forum...I don't think we have any medical members acting in an official capacity. Just friends who can offer insight and support.

Just an idea, don't want anyone to think that posting here would be the same as checking with their own docs, and want Dr. Fett and our fabulous nurses to feel comfortable sharing opinions.

Perhaps something like "medical concerns" , a place to share your concerns about tests, meds, etc.

Good thinking, Dawn. There is an OB/GYN who will be joining us soon, and has agreed to act in an official capacity, but even that is limited to information, not advice or treatment.
Can you word something for us?

I agree...there has to be a way to word it so people can know there are people who have experience (both personal and medical) to offer some additional insight, but in no way are we acting as a paid medical professional,etc.

I don't mind answering some questions, but there have definitely been times I have not responded (on the old board) because I felt unqualified to do so OR I felt the poster was relying too much on internet information and not on their own personal health care team.
