I met the NICEST people

Last night I got to meet Melissa (marissar) and her family while they were in town for her daughter's doctor appointment at Duke.
They are some of the nicest people we've ever met. Her daughters are beautiful, and look just like her (even though her husband claims they look like him.;) )
My oldest daughter had alot of fun playing with her oldest, and I think our youngest enjoyed each other's company, too.

Serena, you said meet up. Now it's in my head. I just went to www.meetup.com and asked them to create a PeriPartum CardioMyopathy topic under health survivors.

Can everyone else do the same? You never know who may have PPCM that isn't searching for us. There are a lot of people on that site. The more people that request this topic, the better chance they add it to their site. Thanks!!!

SO glad you guys met! I met a group of ladies that were pregnant with May '94 babies from AOL bulletin boards (before www) and one of them also had PPCM. I had searched high and low for someone else like me and she was sitting under my nose all along.

Oh and I just have to add Serena has beautiful babies and so so well mannered. I'm jealous :p Her oldest has the most beautiful hair katey is so loving and her boy, well look out girls he'll be handsome. :)

I agree (but I'm biased) that the girls better watch out for Jack. Though I suspect it's more because he will tie their pig tails in knots than because he is handsome. ;)

Just to let you know...

I got a response from meetup.com

I gave them more information and they should be adding the PPCM category soon. I'll let you know. You'll all have to join right away so as to encourage others newly diagnosed to join or if they've been diagnosed, but didn't know there is support out there.

Each local group can pick and choose a day, time and venue, but I went ahead and started with Sundays at 5pm. Figure most people would need a time when their husband or someone else could watch the kiddos.

I'll keep you posted!!!
