Hey! Just checking on you. I haven't seen you post in a few days and was wondering how you're feeling and doing? How were your holidays?

Hey Emily,

Thanks for checking up on me! I'm doing fine, I'm at week 19 and the baby is measuring a week ahead. I go to the Perinatalist today, they will measure all the babies organs to make sure everything is developing properly. My cardiologist doesn't want to see me for another 8 weeks. He said that my heart was doing well and he echo showed very normal results. I asked him if he thought that this PPCM thing would happen again and he said, "highly unlikely." My OB/GYN is a wee bit concerned because I've only gained 1 pound since this onset of this pregnancy. He just said it's something he's going to watch.

The baby is moving around, I feel very fortunate everytime I feel him move, I remember thinking for a year that I'd never feel that feeling again. It's very strange because I honestly don't even think about PPCM anymore and this ever happening again. The hardest part was the decision of getting pregnant again and the fact that all the doctors I saw were so much against it. Now, they've all changed their tune and are very postitive. I am defintely on the thought process that if all goes well with this pregnancy, I am convinced that it is safe to have another pregnancy if your heart recovers full function. We'll wait and see, we still have a ways to go and a lot can happen between now and week 35. I just hope that more research can be done and other women who have suffered hearing the words, NO MORE BABIES, can hear what they've longed for - with close monitoring, you'll be fine with another pregnancy.
