I was thinking of him today...I had to give a presentation at school and be there for the entire day otherwise I would have been there. Hope all went well !

I'm sure all of your positive throughts resulted in bearing fruit for more understanding of PPCM. The Dallas AHA meetings went well. Although I hadn't known there was competition going on with the poster abstracts, the Haiti "subsequent pregnancy in PPCM patients" poster drew a lot of attention, and finished the day as one of the top 3 but not "champion" . Doesn't matter. The Display of "FINALIST" on my board drew a lot of interest. I spent 8 hours talking with people about our results and the general field of PPCM investigations. Doctors from 11 different nations came by, and many people offered encouragement in the continuing investigation. I learned a lot too, as I talked with a number of researchers with whom I communicate via e-mail, or who I know from reading all the medical literature about PPCM and IDCM and myocarditis. Thanks again. My next step is to go to Emory U in December (Atlanta) and sort out the Haitian patients'blood samples in "deep-freeze", identifying the PPCM patient and control samples, need 20 to send to Les Cooper at Mayo Clinic, starting a new investigation on "proteomics" quite complex, but a way of "fingerprinting" cardiomyopathy patients, we're in the early stages of this investigation, and will have to see what develops.
