Ok I have a friend who does not have PPCM but I figured if you had to know alot about the heart to know about all this so this question is not related to PPCM. Just need your help...

Her GGT levels came back high 1st was 169 then retested and it was 89. The research she did on internet says high levels could mean 51% chance of heart disease, my question is what kind of test should she be doing to check this out? EKO? CT Scan? Angiogram?

Any info on this subject that you have would be greatly appreciated.

Also she had high Akaline levels which internet research showed all lead to liver does these 2 have any thing to do with each other? Her Akaline level is now back to normal?

What do you think

Thank you,

let's see--sounds mostly like liver function tests, although there can be a cross-over of transaminases, involving muscle tissue, including heart muscle. Doesn't sound like she has any heart symptoms. The tests needed in followup all depend upon the medical history and symptoms and physical findings. Only her personal physician has all the facts to zero in on the correct diagnosis. I'm sure he or she can solve that mystery for your friend.
