I'd love to be able to have a margarita. Is that a no-no on Coreg?

If so, hey, I can have one without any booze in it. I'm just suffering from spring fever and wanted to do something a little different.

Hope everyone is doing great!

I'm not sure what's all in a margarita, but I say GO FOR IT! Maybe just go ahead an skip the booze part, and pretend it's in there ;) .

Yeah, I guess I don't really need it to have fun. I just wanted to rebel a bit, do something I don't normally do.

Spring need to get here NOW.

My doctor allows me to have a drink now and then. I've had a margarita and have had no problems. Is your EF holding strong? That might make a difference in the recommendation.

How are you? I've been wondering where you are! Glad to hear that you are having some spring. This week has definitely not been springlike here. Oh, well. It should be in a month or so!

naw, I love wine, and and sometimes vodka. But I'm not on meds anymore, either.

I drink wine several times a week. I've had liquor, but only on one or two occasions. It doesn't matter what alcohol I drink, they all make me so very sleepy, especially after I take my ToprolXL.

Doctor said it's neither an issue for my heart nor my meds, as long as it isn't an alcohol focused life style.

Go ahead and have your margarita - just skip the salt on the rim...gotta watch the sodium. ;)

I have to agree with Serena, I have occasional glasses of wine or I else I drink those Hard Mike's Lime drinks. I love them and nothing happens. I usually can only drink about 2 bottles before I have totally fallen asleep.

I never thought twice about an occasional Margarita when I was on meds...i.e. once or twice a month.

I did find, however, that one margarita was generally enough to put me to sleep. ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz

Go for it !!! I remember being so scared to try. But, as long as you're holding stable, a couple of drinks won't hurt you from time to time. I even went "drinking" the weekend before me last echo (a whole 4 beers!!!!) because I was nervous and needed to "get out of my funk" and my EF improved!!!!! :p

I ended up just having some Sprite. HEHEE. But I had an Outback steak and it was so good!

How am I? I dunno. I find that even though it's been three years now, I still think any prolonged illness has something to do with my heart. I've had congestion for awhile now, but we have ALL had it. I didn't have any problems before this last cold I got, but it's like it won't totally go away or something.

Also, I am having slight dizziness again. Last time it was that I couldn't tolerate the ace inhibitor anymore, and then I found out that it was also because I was eating too much sugar. I'm eating badly again, so I think this is part of that whole scenario. Today I slacked back on eating in general and took a walk, part of my "spring resolution" you might say.

In general, I have felt tired and stiff and depressed for a couple of weeks now. I think it's just spring fever, the bad eating, the lack of exercise...all of that stuff. I sleep fine, no swelling, no real problems I can see other than being tired...which happens when I don't eat right and gain weight. I don't know WHY I keep doing this to myself!

Anyhow, I guess overall you could say I'm fine. I don't know what my EF is, but they will be wanting to check me since it's been a year since my last MUGA. Frankly, I don't want to know most of the time. Last year the news was that it had dropped from 50 to 40, and we kind of chalked that up to being off the ACE.

This was a long answer in order to say...I've felt better in my life but I think there is a lot I can do to improve how I'm feeling. As far as my heart goes, I assume I'm just fine as I have no indications to the alternative.

Love to you all!
